Qué Hacer

Nos encontramos en el Valle del Tiétar, junto al Parque Regional de la Sierra de Gredos.

Muchos son los recursos para disfrutar de la naturaleza en estado puro, bien dando un paseo por los alrededores de la casa, rodeada de ríos y gargantas, bien visitando ricos humedales formados por el río Tiétar y el embalse de Rosarito, o bien recorriendo rutas, alguna de las cuáles pasan por antiguos asentamientos celtas.

Vestigios Celtas, árabes, romanos y medievales son frecuentes por estos parajes.

Castro Celta El Raso (siglos III al I a.C.)
Parque Nacional de Monfrague.
Castillos de Oropesa (s. XII y XII) y de los condes de Oropesa (s. XV).
Monasterio de Yuste, (última residencia de Carlos V).
Ermita de Chilla (Candeleda)
Aula museo de las Abejas. (Poyales del Hoyo).
Puente romano (Madrigal de la Vera)

 

 

  ENVIRONMENT/ACTIVITIES

We are in the Valley of the Tietar, close to the Gredos Mountain regional park.

The area provides a large variety of scenery. Being in the foothills of the Gredos mountains the are many clear mountain streams and rivers, leading to the River Tietar itself.
Nearby is the large Rosarito reservoir, whick is truly beautiful and does not apper man-made.
There are numerous walking routes, directly from the house and not far away is an ancient Celtic dwelling area which dates back to 2nd Century B.C. All around are Celtic, Arab, Roman and medieval influences.
